This will ensure we continue to deliver measurable and meaningful impact towards a future where gender equality is a reality.ABOUT THIS ROLEYWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Policy Officer to join our Equality Rights Alliance Team.In this position, you will conduct policy analysis and advocacy using a feminist / gender framework to assist in the delivery of ERA’s various projects in line with the annual work plan. You will also work with the ERA Senior Manager to support the ERA membership, conduct events and consultations and establish and maintain engagement with external stakeholders.Location: Ideally Canberra based, though may consider remote candidatesNature of Engagement: Part time (negotiable 4 days per week), on a maximum term contract ending 30 June 2024ABOUT YOUThe ideal applicant will have:Tertiary qualifications in law, government relations, politics, economics, gender studies or a similar discipline (highly desirable)Experience in a similar role with demonstrated experience in analysis of government policy or change advocacy / lobbyingThis position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements. This includes:Completion of a national criminal history checkA valid relevant state-based working with children permit.Don’t meet every single requirement?
