This role is offered on a full time ongoing basis.Working with clients aged 16-25, the role is responsible for providing case management to clients of our Youth Homelessness Services Program, by:Conducting effective needs assessments and provide effective case managementProviding case work support to clients residing in the program’s transitional accommodation and assist them to develop life skills and build supports that will optimise their outcomesMaintaining case notes to a high standard to ensure effective communication between colleagues and an accurate and complete record of support provisionProviding assistance to clients to find and maintain sustainable accommodation suitable for their needs, through the case management process and brokerageABOUT YOUThe ideal applicant will have:Relevant tertiary qualifications in Youth Work, Social Work, Welfare or Education or demonstrated experience in a similar fieldPrevious experience working with people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessnessProven understanding of the special needs of marginalised people and the ability to effectively support clients with these needsExcellent verbal and written communication skills across a variety of audiences, including the ability to respond to clients with empathy, sensitivity and understanding This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements.  This includes:Completion of a national criminal history checkA valid relevant state-based working with children permit.Don’t meet every single requirement? ABOUT YOU

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Previous experience working with people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness
