ABOUT YWCA DARWIN

YWCA NT has been supporting women, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and women from a culturally and linguistically diverse background, in the Territory since 1969. We provide local housing, services and support programs that enable women, their families and other priority groups to find stability and feel safe and secure, so they can build the future they want.

YWCA team members located in the Northern Territory are also eligible for additional organisation benefits, including 5 weeks annual leave per year and long service leave eligibility at seven years.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

YWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join our Medical Accommodation Program in our Darwin location. This role is offered on a full time ongoing basis.

The role is responsible for the development and operations of the Medical Accommodation Program by ensuring sector recognised best practice accommodation services, efficient work practices and contracted deliverables are met.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Qualifications in hospitality and/or community services or related field (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing people to build capability
  • Experience in a similar role with demonstrated experience in hospitality and/or community services
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hospitality and/or community services including the Patient Assistance Travel Scheme and food safety

This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements.  This includes:

  • Completion of a national criminal history check
  • A valid relevant state-based working with children permit.
