We are growing our housing footprint across Australia, as we work to ensure all women and gender diverse people have access to a safe, secure and affordable home.
YWCA is a Tier 2 Community Housing Provider and currently owns or manages more than 460 social and affordable homes, with a rapidly expanding footprint. We build, buy, and manage housing properties and implement gendered housing solutions informed by our Women’s Housing Framework.
Our developments are focused on delivering long-term housing solutions for women, primarily in regional areas. We have a $67.6 million investment in housing, paving the way for the delivery of 92 new housing tenancies by February 2026.
In Queensland, we have two projects currently in progress that aims to deliver 18 new homes. These are mainly regional areas including Toowoomba, Ipswich and Crows Nest.
In regional Victoria, we have social housing developments delivering 50 new homes. These are also mainly regional areas including Wodonga, Baranduda and Bendigo.
In Adelaide, we have one project under development, which will deliver 24 new housing units.
