YWCA NT has been supporting women, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and women from a culturally and linguistically diverse background, in the Territory since 1969. We provide local housing, services and support programs that enable women, their families and other priority groups to find stability and feel safe and secure, so they can build the future they want.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

YWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Manager to join our Gendered Violence and Family Programs Team in our Darwin office. This role is offered on a full time maximum term basis ending on 13th August 2025. (Parental Leave contract)

The role is responsible for leading the strategic growth, development and delivery of the gendered violence and family programs ensuring sector recognised best practice services, high quality teamwork, contracted deliverables are met and relevant projects are implemented.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Community Services Social Sciences or other related discipline or equivalent experience in a program leadership role
  • Experience in a similar role with demonstrated experience in domestic, family, sexual violence and family support programs
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the domestic, family, sexual violence and family support sector, including legislation, governance, policy, and processes
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build key internal and external stakeholder relationships based on trust and collaboration

This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements.  This includes:

  • Completion of a national criminal history check
  • A valid relevant state-based working with children permit.
