YWCA Australia – HAFFF Round 1 Successful Applications

YWCA Australia is thrilled to announce that our applications for housing in Queensland and Victoria in Round 1 of the Housing Australia Future Fund Facility (HAFFF) have been successful. As a leader in gender responsive housing, this funding will allow YWCA Australia to build much-needed social and affordable housing for women and their families. Secure housing is foundational to the safety, wellbeing, and economic security of women, and we are proud to deliver these homes.

Our projects will deliver quality social and affordable housing, help increase supply that contributes towards alleviating the strain of the housing crisis and also improve access for women experiencing housing insecurity and homelessness. This success is a major step towards achieving our broader goal of ensuring every woman has a safe, secure and affordable place to call home.

Community housing providers (CHPs) have a critical role to play in addressing the housing crisis in Australia and no single CHP can deliver the solutions alone. Safe homes are the way forward to equal futures.

YWCA Australia applauds the HAFFF’s design and implementation to address Australia’s housing crisis and looks forward to continuing to work closely with Housing Australia and all levels of Government to deliver more homes for women and their families.
