YWCA’s Youth Housing Support Program provide support to young people 15-24 currently experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the Greater Darwin region.

We can support you to access and maintain housing, build living skills, and provide referrals and advocacy to other services to achieve your individual goals and stabilise your housing situation.

The support we provide through our housing programs includes:

  • Access to medium-term transitional housing (up to 12 months)
  • Support to build life and home skills to assist with independent living
  • Advocacy and assistance with navigating and collaborating with other services
  • Referrals to legal, counselling, medical and other specialised support services

Who can we help?

Our Youth Transitional Housing and Youth Housing Options Pathways Program can support young people, regardless of gender, aged 15-24, who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

Alongside these requirements, you also must:

  • Have an income, Centrelink benefits or be eligible to receive Centrelink benefits
  • Be able to afford rental payments set at 30% of your income
